Tough Times

Today I am writing after a quite sometime and that too during market hours.......Why?....Simply because I have nothing to do.......I can not trade in this market......I have tried several times these few  days.......but was very difficult......option trading was still good......In the end found that the returns are not in proportion to the time and energy I spent.........So decided to trade when the euphoria calms down.......Now you dont need to trade all times.......Do you?

What is happening round the world is something nobody could ever think of in the past few years......Lehman Brothers, Meryll Lynch, AIG.....and maybe many more to come.......What used to be the dream companies for all have turned out to be nightmares.........Who would not have cherished the dream of working for Lehman in their New York Trading Desk?........We are living in tough times......There is a genuine scarcity of liquidity around the world and these financial powers are tumbling......It seems like a house of cards collapsing one on the other......But then, maybe this is how the world moves on.......One power collapses, the other emerges......And history says that........

To my belief, this can be good for India, who is fighting to emerge as a world power house......India has a huge potential to grab these opportunities......People around the world are looking towards India for long term shelters......But then its difficult to assume that......though I remain optimistic......

All in all, these tough times need to be appreciated......We need to learn from these.....We means, we traders, investors, bankers, financial houses, business houses, all......We need to ascertain the risks involved and always maintain the margin of safety.....Money management rules need to be applied always.....I am quite new in this field....trying to learn as much as possible.....May be what I say now will be quite different from what I say years down the line......But thats how learnings are put into action......I have been trying to learn the pschycology behind trading.......
